Sunbird, No!

It's a sad day in the Just Nesting household.

My crazy over-adored Anthropologie Sunbird sheets ripped last night.

Thank god it was on my side so I have only myself to blame.  They were quite the investment and I knew they wouldn't last forever.  I should have bought a spare pair for this sad occasion but I will have to make due with boring sheets until Anthropologie or someone else comes out with adorably patterned sheets that make my heart sing once again.

  1. awww, that's too bad. i can't tell from the pic, but i had sheets rip, and i oh-so-carefully stitched them back together--but the rip was only maybe 6 inches. it's not perfect, but it's hard to tell at first glance, and i still love them!

otherwise, could you just get a solid patterned top or bottom sheet from target or something, and keep using the pillow cases and unripped sheet?

ps. hope life w/ two toddlers is going well (i have two toddlers, it's pretty crazy).

    take care!!

  3. Can you replace just the piece that ripped with a plain sheet in one of the colors of the pattern? Also, if you want more of the pillowcases, I see a listing for a new set on eBay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-ANTHROPOLOGIE-Sunbird-Sun-Bird-Set-of-2-Standard-Pillowcases-Pillow-Case-NIP-/390899535174?pt=Sheets&hash=item5b036d8d46

    1. I saw that listing too, I already have 4 pillowcases so I think I'm set. I'm either going to use a white fitted sheet or a pattern that kind of matches the bird print and see how long that goes. I looked at the rip last night and it's kind of shredded, I don't think I can patch it or sew it. I also have an aversion to seams, so I don't think patching it will work, I used to wear my socks and underwear inside out. Don't even get me started with tights.
